I am a Digital Artist known by the moniquer Tank Thunderbird. I am currently living in Berlin and I specialise in spatial 3D design and animation, whether in games, apps, advertisement or interactive installations.
For the past 5 years I've mainly worked with the Unity engine, and over a decade with the complete Adobe Creative Suite and various 3D applications like Blender, Cinema 4D and 3D Studio Max. I am familiar with shaders, scripting in Python and C#, as well as being able to work with all sorts of hardware, including AR/VR devices and microcontrollers like the Arduino on "phygital" installations.
I've worked as a Creative Technical Lead for UX Design projects and as a Technical Artist for Interactive Art and Wearable Tech projects. I recently worked as a Unity Motion Designer at and XR company called Shoutrlabs and at a hypercasual games company, Popcore where I contributed ideas and skills in the production of creative ads for several games. I also worked with the developers and the motion team to develop tools and efficient production pipelines and documentation.
I love Art, Design and Technology and have degrees in Fine Arts from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota and a Masters in Art and Information Technology from Chalmers University of Technology.
I took part in the Unreal Animation Bootcamp online, organized by Epic and UT Hub. This four week intensive course covered all core aspect of the engine involved in creating animated films, including topics like character rigging, motion and facial capture, sequencer animation, materials, shaders, rigging, Niagara FX, postprocessing in engine and final render.
My 3D printed sculpture created in Adobe Medium was part of the Pictoplasma All Star Academy show in September 2022!
I've taken a break from work and will be enjoying some time off before focusing on my sculpture for the Pictoplasma Show in September. I will also continue developing my 3D modeling and texturing skills on some personal projects.
Started working in games again at Popcore, I am creating in-game videos for ads. This includes creating additional 2D and 3D animations, UI designs, texts, titles and motion design for each of our games.
